Work

We are doing something new and unexpected, and it is attracting intelligent, competent customers.

Peace of mind coming up.

In 2009, three litigators and a paralegal founded Level Legal with the belief that an alternative legal service provider would be a more efficient model for litigators and their clients.

This original idea to build a company that brings peace of mind to legal professionals with high standards still stands today.

We don’t compete with lawyers. We’re their best-kept secret.

Forensics.

For starters, Level Legal’s in-house forensics team led by industry expert David Greetham — goes far beyond mere collections. Of course, we gather computers, phones, USBs, and more. But then our experts go further. Using the latest tools and technologies, we perform a detailed review to ascertain (and often recreate) the user actions performed prior to collection.

eDiscovery.

The Level Legal approach to data and eDiscovery is thorough, rigorous, collaborative, and transparent. Key metrics are established early and measured through review. Advanced technology is deployed to create efficiencies and generate productive workflows. The result? A focused path to the strongest outcome.

Managed Review.

Since managed review is typically the most expensive line item for legal matters, we give it special attention. Best of all, our engagements begin with deliverables filed under the heading of “hospitality.”

Consulting.

Law isn’t the only language legal teams need to understand. You must also be able to communicate fluently in CEO, CFO, CIO, and HR. We take a holistic approach to managing data according to business strategies, not just the cost of the next litigation matter.

Trusted Partnership: Why Gibson Dunn Counts on Level Legal

Find yourself.

I need a little help, every now and then, but not too much.

We're there when you need us.

I have a high-profile client in the headlines who faces institutional or reputational harm.

Our lips are sealed.

I have a massive data and a bet-the-company case on my hands.

We thrive in making order from chaos.

I know eDiscovery and review and know the value of outsourcing.

It’s a lot less painful.

I don't have a deadline until I do. And it's always tomorrow.

We still love you.

I have little to no experience in managing a case that requires eDiscovery or review.

You are not alone.

Let’s talk.

First, we’ll listen. Let us know the challenges you’re facing, and we’ll explore how to partner with you.

Our Framework

Understand.

During this phase, we work to step away from any assumptions and guesses about what our customers needs, and let our research findings inform our decision-making. We learn more about our customers, their problems, wants, and needs, and the environment or context in which they will use the solution we offer.

Our Framework

Define.

During the Define phase, we analyze our research findings from the Understand phase and determine what is the most important problem to solve — and why. This step defines the goal. Then we can give a clear problem statement, describing what our customers’ needs are that we are trying to solve, making sure that we heard and defined their problem correctly.

Our Framework

Solve.

This phase is an important part of the discipline in our process. People often settle for the first solution, but the most obvious solution is often not the right one. During the Solve phase, we brainstorm collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to generate many unique solutions. We then analyze our potential solutions and make choices about which are the best to pursue based on learnings in the Understand phase.

Our Framework

Build & Test.

This phase is critical in developing the right solution to our customers’ problem. An organized approach to testing can help avoid rework and create exceptional outcomes. Starting small and testing the solution, we iterate quickly, before deploying solutions across the entire project.

Our Framework

Act.

During this phase, the hard work of prior phases comes to life in our customers’ best solution. The research, collaboration, and testing performed prior to project kick-off ensure optimal results.

Our Framework

Feedback.

At the project completion, we convene all stakeholders to discuss what went well, what could have been better, and how we might improve going forward. We call these meetings “Retrospectives,” and we perform them internally as a project team, and with our external customers. The Retrospective is one of the most powerful, meaningful tools in our framework.
